Hospitals Train Staff With iPods
Hospital administrators at two Glasgow hospitals are using Mp3 technology to train novice staff members. The hospital managers have provided hospital "tours" for providing information about "super" bugs, how to provide mobility for patients and how to handle violent behavior in the hospital setting. Following the hospital tours the staff are provided a follow-up computer-generated test.
"Using technology - the iPod - means we can make sure all new staff are trained to exactly the same standard," said Alastair Kirk, training and development manager at NHS Greater Glasgow.
